You might be an Amillennialist if:
You have ever believed that God has given all the promises originally given to Israel to the Church
You might be an Amillennialist if:
That there really isn't going to be a literal Antichrist, or Mark of the Beast, or one world government, or one world religion as prophesied in the Book of Revelation
You might be an Amillennialist if:
That the reign of Jesus Christ on earth is now
You might be an Amillennialist if:
That the Time of Jacob's Trouble and The Tribulation is the same as generalized tribulation or troubles and is not a specific 7 year period of time that ends with Jesus Christ coming back to defeat Satan and chain him in hell.
And you might be an Amillennialist if:
That Satan is chained up currently thereby holding back the evil in the world (this one is pretty funny because the world is so evil and growing more evil every day).
I say all this to relieve some frustration over discussions with an admitted No Millennialist/ Amillennialist that I have tried to study the Bible with but have found it too frustrating to continue.
I've also finished reading the majority of the Old Testament and New Testament the past 2 months. I wanted to make sure I was seeing the views I hold as coming from God and no other source.
What is the danger in believing in Amillennialism?
There are some big deal things that Satan achieves when people believe that there will be no Millennial kingdom.:
1. Causes people to falsely interpret Scripture different ways. If Scripture can be interpreted and not conflict with the doctrine of Replacement Theology/Amillennialism, then you can keep it. But if not then you must spiritualize the meaning of the Scripture in order that the doctrine of man is not altered.
2. By using two techniques to interpret Scripture the student of this doctrine becomes confused easily. I suppose that those that do not believe that what Jesus said is literally true that the Holy Spirit is not going to show that person what one that believes the word of God says.
Outcome of Amillennialism:
Produces Lukewarm Christians (God spews lukewarm Christians from his mouth)
Quenches the fire for the word of God
So to summarize, when amillennial doctrine is believed the deceived is losing sight of the truth in the Bible, thereby failing to believe God's word these individuals can fall prey to Satan's evil much more swiftly.
God wants all to be saved and we all fall short of the glory of God. I do not know all, but I put my faith in the Bible fully. Never take the word of a man over what the Bible teaches. But you may not know what the Bible teaches so get to reading and stop worrying about what your religion teaches.
