I Believe...Now What?
Pray
Why?Prayer is powerful and you can use prayer to get to know God and give Him thanks. You can also pray for help leading others to Jesus and even for things of this earth (health and safety)
How to pray?
You pray to the Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus.
Example: "Heavenly Father I come to you in the name of Jesus. Thank you for this life you have given me and my family. Thank you for the gift of salvation. Please help to make me a better man, father, husband, and servant for the advancement of Your Kingdom if that be Your will. Help my family members that do not know that Jesus is the only way to You. I ask these things in Jesus's name, Amen."
You can pray alone
You can pray with two or more other people.
You should pray both ways.
Bible - Read and study the scriptures
Why?
Because God's Word is a gift to help us know Him. Treasure it. It is supernatural and amazing. From fulfilled to unfulfilled prophecy to the attributes of God and why it was required that Jesus die for our sins in
order to satisfy God's Justice. The Bible should light your way and the Holy Spirit will show you what all this means.
It is really important to read the Bible. There is not a substitution. If you decide that instead of reading the Bible you are going to read a book that someone wrote instead that you think may give the same benefit then you will be lost.
If you do not regularly expose yourself to the Bible then you will be weak in your faith and may not receive gifts of discerning truth that the Holy Spirit can provide.
Talking to others about Jesus:
Christians feel a need to help others see what is going on in the world and to realize that Jesus is the only way. The idea of being evangelistic is difficult to comprehend. But after you believe and see where this is all going you may not even give your former anxieties about talking to people about Jesus a second thought.
