Home Church

In reading and studying the Bible I've come to the conclusion that we are not called to "go to church".  In fact  I believe most people have been herded to the buildings that most ministers claim we are supposed to be attending.  The Bible tells us to fellowship with other believers not go to church.

What is the church?

The church is the body of believers in a given space.

What is a church?

A church is setting where the church meets.

I have been attempting to find "a church" to find believers "the church" where my family and I can grow in our faith and grow closer to God.  Even living in the Bible belt in the South I find it very difficult to find a good group of believers to pray and grow.

Some reasons for this:

1. Most groups of believers belonging to a physical church denomination have very little in the way of true Bible exposure.  A couple verses every week is not enough for me to waste time on.

2. Although I did not know this until recently I feel there is one very big problem with most church denominations.  That is that most believe that almost all prophecy has already come to pass even in the book of Revelation.  This is also why most do not even study the last book of the New Testament.

3. People that attend church at the large denominations typically do not and have not read the Bible.  How can I say this?  Because if you read the Bible you will know that the church does not replace Israel.  This is a critical issue and one that most people don't even realize their church's doctrine subscribes.

Meeting in the home with other believers can fully meet our needs as a Christian. There is spiritual warfare being carried out in our world and especially in high places including the organized churches.  By reading the Bible daily and praying daily and seeking the truth that God offers us we can eliminate all our fears and increase our joy.

Satan's doing his best to drag as many as he can to hell.  New Age, Replacement Theology, Amillennialism, Prosperity Gospel services like the kind Joel Osteen performs in concert, Preterism, channeling of spirits, anything having to do with the occult, violence on TV, TV brainwashing, pornography both on TV and the Internet, the Satanic music and entertainment industry, the illusion of true choice by citizens, hatred of Jews, the United Nations, Freemasons, and Luciferian secret societies all have one thing in common:

They all tend to not have a positive opinion of Jews and Israel.  Besides the Christian groups listed above (Replacement Theology, Amillennialism, Preterists, and Prosperity Gospel): The rest hate Jesus.

It is obvious to me that Satan has set this up so that many people that are Christians believe that Israel is no longer relevant.  That is going to be a problem for them when the anti christ shows up.  They may think it is the Second Coming.  And the fact that in Matthew 25 Jesus tells those on Judgement Day that if they did not feed, or clothe or assist the least of his brothers (the Jews), that they will be cast into the Lake of Fire.  So that is why this seems to be a big deal to me.  Too many Christians today believe in what Satan wants them to believe instead of allowing the Holy Spirit to teach them what the Bible means (that does require reading and studying the Bible).

Too many people are clueless and think that by being a good person they will go to heaven.  If you don't truly believe you cannot receive the Holy Spirit and that is what you need to be regenerated and born again.

*Spiritual warfare is in full swing

Ephesians 6: 12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

When you look at the fact that Jesus spoke of this time in Matthew 24 where apostasy would be rampant.

Matthew 24: 3-11

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Meeting #1 January 19th, 2013

Who is Jesus Christ?

He is God in the flesh, born from a virgin, died for our sins after living a sinless life, predicted his own ressurection, came into the world to

The just for the unjust

Jesus came into the world to take away the sins of the world.

Why is it necessary that Jesus had to die for our sins?

Because God's wrath is directed against sin and without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.

Who sins?  Everyone, so there is no way to the Heavenly Father and eternal life with Him if not for Jesus.  It is only through Jesus that we are granted remission of our sins so we can have salvation.

How do the people of the world gain this of salvation that Jesus has made available to us?

We receive Grace through Faith (Faith in Jesus that he came into our world as a man, that Jesus is God in the flesh, born from a virgin, died for our sins after living a sinless life, predicted his own ressurection, came into the world to save he world, ascended into heaven after his ressurection will come again to Judge the living

and the dead, and for those that believe in Him we are now given the Comforter as Jesus explained to his disciples to help us understand the words Jesus spoke and help us to discern truth.  The Holy Spirit is with believers.  God is with us because the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit are one.

John 3: 5-9

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

John 3: 14-17

14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Luke 13:24

"strive to enter by the narrow door"

Mattew 7:13-14

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

There is a battle within the church: infiltration of the church and Apostasy and there are many examples

Jude 1:4

"certain persons have crept in unnoticed"

Matthew 7:15-19

"Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire."

Are you looking at someone and judging the truth of what they say by how it makes you feel or if you like that person because they are nice or have credentials behind their name OR are you looking at the words and concepts they are speaking and measuring that against what the Bible says?  If you are not measuring their words against the Bible then you are opening yourself up to believing false teachings.  That is another reason it is so important to read the Bible regularly.  Your truth gauge is full and you should be able to spot false teachings and teachers.

Does the Bible talk much about this apostasy?  It does.  But many that don't really buy this may not understand that these evils that are going on in the world and the trajectory we are on in the fulfillment of end times prophecy is proving that this must be spiritual warfare we are fighting against.

Ephessians 6: 12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

So what are we to do?

Ephessians 6:13-19 continued from above tells us:

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

And finally prayer:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

So this really highlights the importance of knowing the Gospel.  And praying that we may understand it so that we may boldly speak to other people of the mysteries and truth of the gospel.

Notice how many people today do not have a clue of what is going on in the world.  Caught up in the distractions of the world from tv to facebook to internet to arguments about things that do not matter (politics, sports, whatever the distraction may be). We cannot live in the spirit and understand what is going on if we are so occupied in our thought.

We should pray that we not be caught up in these things and for the people we know that are that their minds can be freed from these things so that they may be open to the Holy Spirit and the truth in the Bible.

The Bible is valid communication coming from God to the reader.  Something that is part of the apostasy or the misdirecting of the truth that the Bible tells us is that it is now very common for people at large church denominatons to say that we can't know the Bible without some help and that is why we need to go to church so man can explain things that we may not understand.  This is dangerous because the Bible does not teach that.

But the Bible tells us to study the Word of God ourselves:

2 Timothy 2:15-19

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity..

1 Corinthians 2:13

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

So we see that the that Bible tells us that the Holy Ghost teaches us.

Psalm 146:3-5

Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing.

Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God.

John 14: 16-18

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

John 17: 17

Jesus is praying to the Heavenly Father

17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

John 8:32-36

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Olivet Discourse:

Matthew 24: 1-41
1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

We discussed the scripture today and had a great first home church session.  I'd say that compared to the amount of Bible scripture I'd heard and discussed in my life at every church session I've attended in my last 100 visits to a church with the exception for the two or three times we've visited First Bible church.

We talked about a movie that Ben Stein put together called "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed"

Why are those that support Darwinism in Academia and in the media so threatened by Creationist claims even simply the idea that there may be an Intelligent Designer to our Universe?  If you are hiding behind lies you don't want the truth to be exposed.  There is a conspiracy in Academia and media at a bare minimum to squelch all Creationism voices.

Apparent Purposeful Greek to English False Interpretations of Revelation 5:10 and the implications

NIV which is used by many protestants today such as the Presbyterians and others has a major problem with deleting Bible verses.  The Jehova's Witness also do this to try and point out that Jesus was not God and that the Trinity isn't mentioned in the Bible.  True deception and by association it would appear that the source of the problem is of Satan.

Example of a deletion from the NIV is Acts 8:37 and we read that.  There is no footnote.  NIV just deleted it.  If you are paying attention you may notice the problem.
